Deployment Packages

In this interface, Deployment Packages are managed. A Deployment Package determine where the patches are downloaded to and which distribution point, it is distributed to.

Interface overview

The interface consists of a list of existing Deployment Package in the middle, a button to create new Deployment Package, and a search field to easily find a Deployment Package.

Create Deployment Package

To create a new Deployment Package, the “Add new package” button is pressed, this will open a new window, where the desired settings is added.

The Deployment Package is given a name, by adding it in the naming textbox.

The URL for a folder on a share is added to the source path textbox, and the desired distribution points are selected in the list of distribution points. When all the desired settings are set, the “Save” button is pressed, and the Deployment Package is ready for use in the update service.

Edit Patch Management Package

A Patch Management Package r can be changed by clicking the edit button on the line of the desired search folder, this will open a window with the search folder. Here all changes are made and the “save” button is pressed.

Delete Patch Management Package

A Patch Management Package is deleted by clicking the delete button on the line of the desired search folder.
