Introduction
SoftwareCentral can launch any executable on a local machine directly from the browser. This is achieved by registering a light weight client application as a URI pluggable protocol handler and associate it with a URI scheme.
The application is automatically registered to the clients URI scheme when a client requests to launch a tool.
